Thoughts On Easter

This one is for the Easter Bunny. He works for Jesus and it's Jesus' special day.

I always wondered something about Easter. That tomb had guards guarding it. Guards are soldiers and soldiers don't usually fall asleep- especially when they're guarding something. So that's why I'm trying to figure out how the angels got in there and rolled that big stone away. The guards must have fallen asleep, otherwise they would have heard that happening. Maybe Jesus made them go to sleep. Maybe the angels were just really good at keeping the whole thing a secret. When I'm a soldier I'll never have a problem falling asleep while I'm guarding something.

We watched a movie about it today in church, but they weren't speaking English. I didn't know Jesus spoke Spanish. It was a great day because the Easter Bunny came and I got to wear my new dinosaur tie. That's one of the neat things about the resurrection- dinosaurs will be alive again!

Picture of the Week: My Science Project

This is a picture of my science project. It was a t-rex made out of chicken bones. We boiled the skin off a chicken and ripped its guts out. When we ran out of chicken bones we had to use a little wood.

Potato Bug Hunter

This one is for my new potato bug.

I love The Kids but I'm sure glad they went to Moab. I been waiting forever for them to leave so I could go underneath their trampoline and hunt for potato bugs. Their trampoline is right on the ground and there is a hole underneath where there are lots of potato bugs and worms. When spring gets here there will be lots of sneaker spiders too.

I used to kill sneaker spiders but now I love them and I try to save them. The problem is whenever I try to pick one up I tear off a leg. Then another and another.

Saving the Animals

This one is for my new dog Rex.

Gharial

Do you know what I learned? That there's lots of animals that are endangered. That means they could be extinct soon. I want to save all of those animals like Jack Hannah and Jeff Corwin do. I want all these animals to be alive when I'm older, but there's not a lot a kid can do to help them. I haven't figured out how I'm going to help them yet, but I'm working on it. If somebody was around when the dinosaurs lived, maybe they could have saved them.

Here is some animals I want to try and save:

Tuatara- This one lives in New Zealand, so that's gonna be tough.
Asian python- That one's going to be tough too, since I don't get to Asia a lot.
Alligator snapping turtle- This one lives in America, so it should be easy for me to save. I live in America
Gharial- You have to watch out for this one if you're fishing in Pakistan. He'll steal the fish right out of your hands.
Saltwater Croc- I think the Crocodile Hunter's little girl is taking care of this one.

My Invention: The Experiment Ball

This one is for Miss Lori.

Check out this thing I want to invent. It's called the Experiment Ball. It starts with pieces of a dinosaur egg. You put it back together, then put it in a machine. Then it gets sprayed with dinosaur DNA, then it gets stamped with a color and a number with lasers.

Then another machine grabs it and puts it in box. Another thing grabs it and puts it in water and activates it. When it's ears and arms come out, there's a gun that shoots thousands of wires at him and that charges the molecums.

Then a bigger grabber thing puts it into a giant experiment ball, and there you go!

Celebrating Our Differences

This one is for Dadda.

Do you know something I don't get? There's this song we sing in acting class called "Harmony" that says we should celebrate our differences. It's a really cool song and we do sign language to it.

The thing is we've been different for thousands of years. It's not like we just found out we're all different yesterday. We've known it forever. So why should we start celebrating it now? Seems like kind of a silly thing to throw a party about.

[Dad's Note: Speaking of being "different," see above picture.]
