Why Am I the Shortest Kid in the Class?

This one is for McCall.

Here's something I am wondering. Why am I the shortest kid in the class? Everybody in my class is taller than me. Like McCall and Silas- everyone. I don't like being the shortest kid in the class. Like Silas, one time he jumped over the wall. He is very tall. He even can climb on to the top of the slide that has windows. I wish I could do that.

Dadda says maybe it's because I don't eat vegetables. I don't think that's it. Lots of other children don't eat their vegetables. I don't like them one bit. That's why I want to ask the world why I am so short.

MCCALL CHYMES IN: Everybody is growing up, but somehow Bridger just isn't growing. Maybe he should eat his vegetables. I have to eat my carrots- even if I don't want to.

[Dad's Note: Do you have any idea why Bridger is the shortest kid in the class? Write in and let Bridger know!]

Hey Bridger,
I have always been the shortest kid in my classes, too. Sometimes it is not very fun being short, but other times it is good. You don't get hit by tree branches if you're short, you don't run into the lights that hang down from the ceiling and you can see interesting things on the ground better than tall people. Those are some good reasons to be short. I love not matter what hieght you are.
Love, Steph

Bridger, I was always the shortest kid in my class, too. I didn't eat my vegetables so maybe that's why I'm short. It's okay if you're short, not everyone can be tall. Maybe it just takes you longer to grow than it does other kids. Don't worry, you've still got a long time to grow!

Love ya,
~Tiff
