Ichthyosaur Epic: Ladder to the Bottom of the Sea

This one if for my new friend that came to my house to play today. She's in my school class but I don't remember her name. Shoot.

This is a story about some ichthyosaurs. Those are dinonsaur dolphins that used to live in the ocean long long ago. But the water dried up where they were and they died. They were buried in the sand until they turned into fossils. Then the water came back and the fossils were way, way deep in the sea. Paleontologists did not find those fossils because it was too dangerous to go there.

But I would be brave enough because I'm the dinosaur boy. I would get a long, long ladder. You can climb down ladders, did you know that? Most of the time you climb up ladders but I would put the ladder down there and climb it down to the bottom and search for the fossils. If I don't find them, it's ok, because they will be resulected. After that their water will never go away and they will never die again.

Bridger,
How did the ichthyosaur fossils get discovered? How did the scientists know where to look for them? Do you think they thought to use a ladder?
Love ya,
Steph
