Carnival Dreams

You know what I'm going to do when I grow up besides being a soldier and a surfer? I'm going to build a carnival and run it. There will be a dinosaur land and an experiment land. There's gonna be a store where you can buy dinosaurs and experiments and it will be really cheap. The best toys will be the cheapest, because I know what it's like to go to a shop and the best things are so expensive. So these will be cheap so even poor kids can get some good toys.

There will be 3 restaurants: Dino Burger, Sea Sandwich, and Experiment Casa. Experiment Casa is where you can get really good deserts that are healthy. That way people like Dadda can get some good desert that doesn't have any sugar.

There will be lots of rides and games and fun things to do, but you also get to learn stuff like all about dinosaurs and bugs. When you come in the door you get to walk through this huge dinosaur and see what his insides look like. There will also be a zoo section with lots of land and sea animals.

It will be such a cool carnival, but I just have to figure out a name for it. When I figure out a name for it I'll write it on my blog.

Butterfly For Sale

This one is for Stitch.

I have a beautiful butterfly that I caught and I'm trying to sell him. Me and Weston walked down the street yesterday asking people if they want to buy that butterfly for two quarters. But nobody wanted to buy him. I'm wondering if lots of people are on b-b-budgets. I'm thinking about lowering the price to a dime.

Yellowstone: Day 3 (because I can't really remember day 2)

This one is for me and West's transforming cars. We got them a long time ago but we just barely found them again because they were in our messy closet. Mine are a snake and a t-rex.

This is about Yellowstone day 3 because I can't really remember day 2. We probably watched Old Faithful a lot, though. I remember we were trying to get to Morning Glory- that's dad's favorite geyser- but we never made it there.

The last thing we did on day 3 was walk on this wooden trail to see all kinds of geysers. There was this one that just kept going and going and going.

Then something scary happened right next to the geyser that somebody died in trying to save their dog. There was this wolf that tried to kill us. People were feeding it and it was howling to it's friends and they howled back. We were trying to get back to the car, but that wolf was howling and scaring the people that were feeding it. Finally we just walked slowly past it and got in the car.

There was these ladies at the zoo today that had a wolf and I said, "Hey, that's just like the one that tried to kill us." One of the ladies tried to tell me that wolves would never do that. Maybe she should be at Yellowstone by that howling wolf. Then we'll see if she thinks they aren't dangerous.

[Dad's Note: He might not remember day 2 so much because we got back to the hotel from Angel's ER visit at about 4AM. The geyser where somebody died trying to save their dog is Celestine Pool, and the story's true.]

Yellowstone: Day 1

This one is for Miss Lori. I got your letter, Miss Lori, and thanks so much cause I miss you.

This is my journal of Yellowstone. We got here really late at night last night and I don't really remember everything, except for we stayed in this big log cabin by Old Faithful.

Old Faithful is the most famous geyser in the whole wide world. It's called Old Faithful because it's true blue. You can always depend on it. It's full of dinosaur water from the center of the earth. The lava makes it hot so it sprays out. It's cool, but we watched it a million times.

But there is something sad about this day because Angel got sick. We sped and sped to find a hospital to make her better, and finally we found one by Weston's lake. Mumma went in with Angel and we stayed out with Dadda and said a special prayer for her. They were in there forever.

Then the doctor said we had to go to the hospital way, way far away. Me and Weston and Coulter were so good because we knew Angel was very sick and Mumma and Dadda were so stressed out. Then all the sudden we were out of the forest jungle and in this town far away. We went to Wal-Mart and got Angel a special baby and got chickies at Wendy's and waited and waited at the hospital.

I think it went ok because then Angel started getting better. I sure love that stinkin' little girl. Then I went to sleep and we were in the forest again.

[Dad's Note: Angel had a high fever we couldn't control, which necessitated an ER visit in Cody, WY, some 90 miles away, at 2AM. We never really found out what was wrong, but she is recovering.]

My Zebra Spider

This one is for Simon on Alvin and the Chipmunks. What a great movie.

Do you know what I got? I caught a zebra spider. I put it in a baggie until Mumma got me a jar. Dadda was really scared putting the spider in the jar. That's funny that Dadda is afraid of spiders.

My spider has blue teeth and he's black and white like a zebra. I been feeding him ants, but I caught a sneaker spider the other day and fed it to my zebra spider. He caught that sneaker spider and sucked his guts right out. It was kind of cool, but kind of sad because I really do like sneaker spiders. I would never feed my pet sneaker spider to my zebra spider because I love him too much.

Dinosaur Pictures by Sketcher Boy

This one is for this kid named Sketcher Boy who draws lots of pictures of things and has a blog just like me.

See this picture of a therazinosaurus? It's an awesome picture. I knew it was a therazinosaurus the first time I saw it, even before I read the name at the top. He drew it so good that I could totally tell. I'm going to have Dadda put some more of his dinosaur pictures here so all the people that read my blog can see them.

[Dad's Note: Check out Sketcher Boy's blog here.]

The Bluegill: A Very Cute Fish

This one is for my dog, Rex. He's such a nice dog. He knows when you're sad and he'll come over to make you happy.

Do you know my favorite fish? It's the bluegill. That's the little fish that swim in our lake. Connor and Kaden caught one with a net and cut it up with a pocket knife. It was kind of sad because the bluegill is a really cute fish. You gotta watch out for their spine, though. It's dang sharp.

Connor cut that fish up and gave me the head and Weston the tail. The head still has a little bit of the spine on it still because he couldn't cut it all the way. I put that head in a plastic baggie so I can keep it at our house.

Camping in the Snow

This one is for my teacher.

I'm watching this cool movie called "The Last Unicorn." It's about this unicorn that wonders if she's the only unicorn in the world.

But I really wanted to talk about that we went camping in our motor home. It was in the mountains and there was snow there and everything was muddy. It was so fun because Quinton and Preston were there and we played all night. I got a little dirty cause I had to slide down a steep hill, but I didn't get as dirty as Preston did. He got way muddy.

It was kind of cold though and I had to change my socks. The coolest part was this teeny little waterfall I found. It was just a big rock with water coming out of it. Also there was a big old square of quicksand. I didn't go by it, but even if I accidentally fell in I would be able to get out ok because Bear Grylls taught me how to get out.

We had a big fire and stayed up way late to talk about SpongeBob and tell scary stories. Then we went to bed and listened to songs and told stories and played fun imagination games. It was definitely a good camping trip!

Happy 2nd Birthday, theDinosaurBoy.com!!

Dad's Note: A quick post before the boy and I go camping. Today marks Bridger's blog's second anniversary. Two years ago today he made his Web debut with the following words:
My name is Bridger. I am 4 years old. I love dinosaurs. They are the most powerful creatures to ever walk the earth.
Blogger has been bogged down with technical problems the last few days, so I'll post a few pictures tomorrow. For now, Happy Birthday, theDinosaurBoy.com!!

Sing In Harmony; UPDATE: Photo added

This one is for Miss Lori.

I had my acting class play and I did so good. I thought the costumes would be dumb but they were pretty cool. I was Squirt the turtle, but my shell was so heavy. I did my part really good and Miss Lori was very proud. She sure was beautiful at the play. Dadda took lots of video and I told him to put some video on here so that people like Katie and my school teacher can see it.

When we weren't on stage we sat down and waited for our parts. There was ladies back there reminding us to be quiet. Then we sang all the songs like "Yellow Bird" and "Matilda" and "Harmony."

But I DID NOT like the princess songs. Whenever I have to sing princess songs, I just pretend to sing them. My favorite part of the play is when the boys are bees. That's the funnest part and the bee costumes are the comfiest

Miss Lori gave me a trophy after the play. I love it because it's the only trophy I've ever got. I didn't even get a trophy for tee-ball. That trophy made me so glad. I'm so glad I decided not to quit my acting class.

When it was over Miss Lori was talking, but I don't remember anything she said. I couldn't see her face because I was standing behind her, but it sounded like she was crying happy tears. That's just like when people give talks in church- they cry happy tears. I think she had happy tears because we are special to her.

The Secret Surprise

This one is for my teacher. I love her so much.

We had our field trip today and mumma got to come. It was at the museum. They had a real helicopter there that was the same helicopter I flew in when I poured blood and almost died.

When we got back to our classroom, we had this secret surprise that we been planning for a long time. Teacher taught us all a song about love and we practiced it one last time. Then this guy came in our classroom and brought a girl. I don't really know what was going on, but we sang this song and then that guy gave the girl a present.

The present was a Build-a-Bear that says "I love you" when you push it's paw. Then he got on his knee and gave her a ring. The girl started crying, but it was happy tears.

Then we sang that special song again and got our picture with them. Then they left. And that was the secret surprise.

The Miracle Paradise

This one is for a therazinosaurus. Not a lot of kids my age seem to know about him, but he's one of the coolest dinos ever.

There's this place I love to go with Preston and we call it the Miracle Paradise. It's this yard where another kid named Bridger lives and it's so wonderful to be in. First you go over the bridge and then through these gates and you're in the Miracle Paradise. There's fun toys all over everywhere too.

It looks pretty back there because of the tall green weeds and colorful bricks. There's green ones and blue ones and gray ones but there's not really a pattern. I love them because they feel so smooth on your feet. I love the Miracle Paradise.

[Dad's Note: I would have taken a picture of the Miracle Paradise to post above, but "the new Bridger's" family might have thought I was weird.]

My Mumma Should Get a Real Job

This one is for my Robo Raptor.

I asked my mom if she ever heard of the Pocahontas plant. She didn't because she's not as smart as my teacher. Do you know why my teacher is smarter than my mom? Because she's a teacher.

I asked mumma why she doesn't have a job Mumma said her job is to be my mom. But I told her no, like a real job- where you go and they give you money to do stuff. I know lots of kids that have moms and their mom's have jobs. Maybe if she got a job she could be smarter like my teacher. Mumma thought that was very funny.

[Dad's Note: Boy, Mumma can't get a break. The other day Weston asked her, "You know why you're not so good at soccer? Cause you're just a mom, huh?" Good thing Mumma has a good sense of humor. And after Dadda sets them straight, she'll probably get an extra good Mother's Day present from her boys.]
